Lienshyttans Herrgård

A historical place, a caring home and a bushcraft center focusing on knowledge.

In the deep and peaceful forests of Bergslagen lies the small village of Riddarhyttan. Just beside the old blast furnace, active until 1959, the villa Lienshyttans Herrgård is situated. The big old log house was moved to its current location back in the mid 1800s. Before that this mansion of the village, originally raised in the late 1700’s, was located three kilometers north. The homestead’s history and layout inspire to knowledge of the old ways of the Swedish woods and the mountains. In this ancient environment Jonas Vildmark Bushcraftcenter offer both theoretical and practical education and training in Bushcraft and Survival.

At the homestead you’ll find lecture halls both indoors and outdoors, a handicraft workshop, a shop, a café in Orangeriet and an accommodation for our course participants in Drängstugan. The homestead is rustique and inspiring. A fantastic place for old knowledge to meet new.
